Giants Suspend CB Dominique Rodgers Cromartie Indefinitely

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie won't be back on the field anytime soon.

The Giants cornerback was suspended indefinitely following a meeting with coach Ben McAdoo Thursday, according to

New York decided to extend the punishment after the initial suspension Wednesday when Rodgers-Cromartie walked out of the facility.

The trouble began Sunday when he was taken off the field in the Week 5 loss to the Chargers. Rodgers-Cromartie flung his helmet to the ground and limped back to the locker room, where he reportedly decided he wanted to leave the game. He eventually came back on the field.

He also left a recovery session early Friday, another reason McAdoo felt prompted to talk to Rodgers-Cromartie Tuesday.

During that meeting he was told he would be sidelined for Sunday's game against the Broncos, which eventually led to Rodgers-Cromartie leaving the facility Wednesday.

Rodgers-Cromartie's suspension is another blow for the 0-5 Giants. Their offense is already decimated, with receivers Odell Beckham, Dwyane Harris and Brandon Marshall out for the season with injuries.
