Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is back.
The veteran cornerback has been reinstated by the Giants after reporting to New York's facility Tuesday for a meeting regarding his status, the team announced.
Rodgers-Cromartie was optimistic he would be allowed to return as early as this week after being suspended indefinitely on Thursday for violating the team rules.
The problems began when Rodgers-Cromartie left a recovery session early on Oct. 6. Things got worse two days later when he was taken off the field in the team's Week 5 loss to the Chargers. He flung his helmet to the ground and limped back to the locker room, where he reportedly decided he did not want to return to the game. He eventually came back on the field.
Following a meeting with coach Ben McAdoo last Tuesday, in which he was told he would be inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Rodgers-Cromartie walked out of the facility on Wednesday. The team then decided to extend the punishment after the initial ban.
Despite Odell Beckham Jr., Dwayne Harris and Brandon Marshall being out for the season with injuries, the Giants managed to secure their first win of the season on Sunday against the Broncos.
The Giants will look to keep their winning streak alive with the help of Rodgers-Cromartie when they host the Seahawks at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday.
